Season of Visitors

Well, our “normal” life is over for a little while, and we don’t expect to re-enter normalcy until at least September. In August, we will go to the States for 3 weeks, but until then, we will have around 150 visitors to Nicaragua.

Chase’s parents arrived last Thursday night, and will be here for 10 days for Joanna’s (Chase’s younger sister’s) graduation from high school this Friday night. Tonight, we will pick up the Wildwood high school team who will be working with our ministry this week. Then next Monday, that team will leave (along with Joanna and Chase’s parents), and the Woodcreek high school team will arrive almost at the same time for the following week. One of my best friends, Becca Mercer, is a leader on that team, and I am so excited that she will have the opportunity to come see and be a part of our life here in Nicaragua.

In addition, Alexis Morren, a friend from Wildwood, will be here for the month of June working as an intern for One by One. She will be staying with us, and will move into Joanna’s room the same day Joanna moves out. In July, we will have 3 more teams (including one with 80 people), and in August, the Woodcreek 20s team will come down as well. As soon as they leave, we will pack and get ready to travel to the States the next day.

While we are in the U.S., we have plans to go to Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Colorado. All in 3 weeks. I’m sure the next several months will go by really quickly, but we’ll try to keep the blog updated as much as we can. So check back if you want to join the craziness that our life will be over the next couple of months.

  1. You are in a huge storm caused by a 'friendly' wind, but it's still a storm. I'll pray for peace for you, grace and strength for every day, patience and wisdom.
